Protein Brownies

Below is a really simple high protein, high fibre, low glycemic, rich in fatty acids BROWNIE!! With the added benefit that they are delicious, just one draw back though these are ideal if you are looking to increase muscle size or replace a meal with one of these, they are fairly calorific so be aware of this ! and adjust the rest of your daily meals accordingly.

Ingredients

  • 75 grams of crunchy nut peanut butter
  • 4 rounded scoops of whey protein (myofusion chocolate)
  • 1 tablespoon of coco powder
  • 200 grams of rough porridge oats
  • 50 grams of mixed seeds
  • 2 x boxes of raisins 80 grams
  • 1 banana (mashed)

This is really simple, place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl add a little water and gradually mix all the ingredients together until they form a sticky consistency not to wet and not to dry. Just as long as everything is mixed well.

Take a square or rectangle baking tin grease well with butter or coconut oil. Place mixture into baking tin and compact well into the tin ensuring that all the mixture has been compressed especially the edges and corners.

Place into the oven at 150 degrees for 10 – 15 Min’s, the reason for this is not to cook the mixture but to dry the mixture and i have found this method really helps the brownie to stay togethor. After the cooking time remove from oven leave to cool and then cut into bars and place into a tupperware container these can be either kept in or out of the fridge.
